Tantsunädal 2024: Sofia Filippou residentuur "practices of loving (through) the apocalypse"
I remain relatively obsessed with the end of the world; and how it looks and feels so different from what the oracles of Hollywood movies have been predicting: it is slow and fast at the same time, it is already here, it is nothing has changed and nothing has stayed the same. Inevitably, the work also becomes about holding space for the loss and grief that charaterises our times.
But what are the practices that can support such a process? Because if we are to love the “end of the world” we need to find ways that carry us through it. My desire for this residency is to search and re-search for Practices of Loving (through) The Apocalypse, i.e. practices that provide solace as well as reveal the interconnectedness of life and challenge our anthropocentric viewpoints.

- 26. aprill päeva jooksul one-to-one silent walks (algus TÜ VKA ruum 202). Jalutamisele saab registreeruda, kirjutades otse Sofiale või külastades teda stuudios, kus saab endale sobiva aja kokku leppida.
